About Us

At Quilted Rest, we know that sleep is sacred and sometimes feels scarce; our goal is to equip you with knowledge and guides to help you get the rest you deserve. We know that you’ll need stylish and durable sheets, blankets, and other products that won’t break the bank for better sleep.

As people who love sleep, we know how overwhelming it can be to find the right sleep products that will get you a good full night’s rest and serve as great decor additions for your bedroom, guest room, or even dorm room! We don’t want you to end up choosing items that aren’t comfortable in the long run or ones that end up at the bottom of your linen storage closet, never to be used or seen again.

No matter what kind of sleeper you are (side, back, stomach, etc.), the team here at Quilted Rest will help you find the best and most versatile products to get the most comfortable and restful night’s sleep. We will help you find the best stylish weighted blanket, summer-weather sheet sets, or even the warmest comforter for the coldest of nights.

So, if you’re ready to dive into some new comfy sleep products, check out our comprehensive guides on weighted blankets, comforters, sheets, and more.

How this works

Any products mentioned in our guides have been tried & tested by our writers, who have taken great care & time to get to know the products and all of the pros and cons they possess. We want to be able to tell how these products stand up against daily use and time and how you can get the most out of your bedding. In general, here is how we approach each review:

  • We will only post a product review if we have tried the items in our own homes. Many of the products mentioned have been extensively tested in our homes and not simply slept in a few times.
  • We take note of how the equipment works throughout its entire usage. If we notice that it performs well during the night but doesn’t stand up well to a dryer over time or it has all of the, we’ll reevaluate and find a better care method, or we won’t suggest it!
  • The person reviewing the product will be the one writing the article and making recommendations. If writers are ever unsure about particular product details, they consult the larger team of experts.
  • Writers also keep a detailed log of the product throughout its entire use, so all-important changes/potential issues will be noted carefully for the review.

Why are you writing for Quilted Rest?

I love being able to share my experiences and research living a healthy, mindful life. Sleep is of the utmost importance for repairing and regenerating cells, regulating hormones, and organizing the psyche. It has incredible healing and protection benefits. My deep interest in sleep made me almost obsessed with bedding, especially sheets and blankets!

It was a private joke in my house when I was growing up and into adulthood (and even now)  that I bought so many sheets and changed my bedding so often that the closets couldn’t fit anyone else’s things! On all of my birthday and Christmas lists, and on my wedding registry, were sheets and more sheets. I tried out every kind of sheet, every type of blanket, quilt, weighted blanket, comforter, duvet covers, pillows, mattress pads, mattress toppers, memory foam heights, mattresses, etc.! I love to share my knowledge and provide specific details and insights into bedding quality and how that bedding can help people achieve restful sleep.

What would you consider your go-to brand for bedding necessities?

My go-to brand for bedding has changed over the years and depends on what feature I am buying it for. For total quality and longevity, I like Berkshire Blankets, Lands End, and Cuddledown. However, I LOVE bargains!!! This leads me to buy lots of inexpensive fun sheets that I occasionally regret, but sometimes I find a rough diamond! LTD. Commodities is where I have seen several very affordable sheet sets that are fun and whimsical. I am a very whimsically inclined person – liking retro 50’s cat and camping sheets, lots of flowers, scallops, lace, and crochet.

How often do you switch up your bedding’s styles or material?

I switch my bedding style and material at least 3-to 4 times a year or more! I am always in a state of bedding processes….washing, ironing, dyeing (yes, sometimes I will dye a quilt or duvet cover), getting a bed skirt to match, trying to find a soft, thick blanket to put over the wooden footboard, so my dog doesn’t whack her leg every time she jumps up!

What is your favorite material for sheets?

My favorite sheet material has got to be Supima cotton sateen. I love the thick weave, exceptional quality, years and years of longevity, and silky, satiny smooth luxury. In the winter, I tend to have Berkshire Blankets “Serasoft” or “Polartec” sheets, or another type of fleece or super luxe, cushy, almost furry sheet set. I am a cold sleeper, so I love to be warm and toasty!

Weighted blanket, yes or no? Why?

Weighted blankets are fantastic for those of us who have restless limb syndrome or children who have Sensory Integration Disorder or are on the Autism spectrum (my son being one). My mother loves weighted blankets as they make her feel more “grounded.” I don’t care for all that weight on me – it feels restrictive, and the way I move causes the weighted blanket to grab all the bedding and pull it to one side! So, no weighted blanket for me.

Candace Osmond- Professional Product Tester

Candace is an International & USA TODAY Bestselling Author and Award-Winning Blogger. She has also worked as a product tester and knows all of the ins and outs of what makes bedding worthwhile! Using this knowledge and her skills as a writer, she’s confident in bringing you the best bedding recommendations, reviews, and tips!

Why are you writing for Quilted Rest?

I’ve always had a love for cozy bedding. I used to be a product tester for a big-name company and experienced many unique products first-hand. So, after that, I decided to stick with the niche and help others find great products for them.

What would you consider your go-to brand for bedding necessities?

I would be lost without my weighted blanket from Quilty.

How often do you switch up your bedding’s styles or material?

Seasonally. I have a ‘look’ for each season and switch them throughout the year.

What is your favorite material for sheets?

Bamboo! Soft, easy to clean, keeps me cool, and is of fantastic quality.

Comforter vs duvet?

Duvet, hands down.

Weighted blanket, yes or no? Why?

Absolutely! I suffer from restless legs and severe anxiety. My weighted blanket is an essential item in my life.

Amy Hand- Design Expert

Amy has worked in several fields, including the design industry, but she also knows how important sleep is for the human mind and body. She understands that bedding can significantly impact how comfortable and restful your sleep is. She also understands that the design elements of your bedding can impact how relaxed and refreshed you feel in your bedroom.

Why are you writing for Quilted Rest?

I’m writing for Quilted Rest for two reasons. First, because I have a background in design, and second, and most importantly, I love to sleep, and getting good sleep is essential for my mental health.

What would you consider your go-to brand for bedding necessities?

I live in South Africa, so my go-to brands aren’t available in the US. I generally go to Mr. Price Home because it’s a reasonable price with great designs.

How often do you switch up your bedding’s styles or material?

I try to change up my styles every few weeks. There’s nothing better than a fresh set of sheets and a new look for your room.

What is your favorite material for sheets?

Cotton. It’s just so soft and cozy.

Comforter vs duvet?

Duvet so I can change the cover on the regular

Weighted blanket, yes or no? Why?

For me, no, but that’s only because I get claustrophobic.
